Kinross Ladies Open Pairs 2013
On 4th of August 2013, the Kinross Ladies Open Pairs competition was held on a gloriously sunny day. 24 teams were entered, playing in a four group round-robin format, followed by 2 semi-finals and the final.
Thanks to everyone in the Club who helped prepare for, organise and run the day and who ensured everyone enjoyed the day - even those who didn't win! Special thanks go to the Green Team (George, Doug, Paul and Doug S), all the Club Members who prepared and provided the food and donated raffle prizes, the Kitchen Crew (Doug, Paul, Betty, Jim, Bob - with help from from the playing Club Members), Jenny and May on the raffle table and last, but by no means least, the Competition Organisers (Sheila and George). If I have missed anyone out, then please let me know!
The Winners were Moira Horsburgh & Helen Sinclair (both from Strathmiglo).
Runners-up were Sandra Barbara (Lumphinnans) & Betty Hunter (Kelty).
Losing semi-finalists were W Smith & J Stewart (Luncarty) and Isobel Kennedy & Carol Mulligan (Lochore).
The prizes were presented by Sheila Rennie (Ladies Secretary) and Doug Hague (Club President). The Umpire was George Rennie (Club Secretary).
